β€œNauseating swill” indeed.

The bitter pill of rights having been stolen by those whose legislated duty is to protect those very girls, chased by a disgusting load of β€œshut up & be kind”.

Go fuck yourself, Elias.

A tale as old as time.

And I’m sorry you’re a β€œformer Dem”, but I get it (sort of, but not entirely, as a πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ watching in horror what’s going on down there).

Hopefully soon you’ll be able to rejoin a more sane version of the Dems, one that also supports the rights of women & children & freethinking people of all stripes.

Be well in the meantime, and be safe.

Former Dem means Independent in my case and definitely not MAGA. This is the issue that made me leave the party though.

Every lying, manipulative, cowardly person in a leadership position needs to be held accountable.

Such a disgrace and complete joke.

Would that Elias could be sued as well. When the fever breaks he should never work in education again.

Telling parents and families they’re being β€œpolitical” for objecting to males playing on female sports teams?

This is insanity.

A public school employee telling families they should keep their political thoughts to themselves while in public is a borderline first amendment violation.

He doesn't threaten them with anything -- he doesn't say their kid will be kicked off the team or anything like that if they speak up. But he is a public employee, writing them in that capacity, and the first amendment says the government shall not "prohibit the free exercise" of speech.

I am sure there are practicalities, public school teachers telling kids to shush in class are not prohibiting free speech, if you try to pass out leaflets about your political bugaboos at your kid's high school graduation it seems reasonable for the school to say you can't...

but to tell fellow citizens "don't talk to the press" in your capacity as a public employee at the very least seems UNWISE.

This isn't a borderline first amendment violation. It is a classic case of prior restraint (a constitutional no-no), viewpoint-based suppression of speech and a thorough chilling of dissidents' free speech rights.

Give trans allies enough rope and quite often they will hang themselves with it.

Another outrage from the continually outrageous trans lobby. Let's stifle speech! Yeah, that's the ticket!

Similar thing the other day: I wore one of Jennifer Sey's "Keep Women's Sports XX" T-shirts to the gym the other day. The trainer is a physical therapist whose practice rents out space at this gym; he’s not the owner. The owner of the gym is a woman. Later that day, he sent me an email apologizing for β€œhaving to say this” but β€œsome people” were β€œupset” that I had worn that T-shirt. He said he totally agrees with me, but that the owner asked him to tell me. (Later I discovered that she and her employees include their pronouns on the website. Immediate indication of woke idiocy.)

My god, how childish to complain about such a thing! If I saw someone wearing a MAGA T-shirt, I'd think, β€œWell, ok, I don’t want to hang out with that person,” but I would keep my mouth shut. I would never be so immature and pathetic as to complain about it to the powers-that-be! I mean, can't these people just ignore a frigging T-shirt??!

At a certain point, political violence -- even not-particularly-violent violence -- becomes justified. Perhaps next season, a sufficiently large group of fathers of these female athletes can get some softball bats (ought to be plenty handy) and surround this "John Elias" and make him take off his clothes, maybe do a little dance while naked. That ring of dads with their backs exposed could be surrounded by a ring of moms, carrying shotguns. Perhaps a sufficiently angry female athlete or two. These dads of course don't have to actually use the bats. It can all be perfectly peaceful. "John Elias" can say a lot of nice words to defend and explain himself.

No actual violence will have occurred. This is exactly what the actual civilized, feminist left needs to start doing, and with a quickness.

β€œmale pitcher β€œMarissa” Rothenberger hurled 21 scoreless innings in the playoffs, and led Champlin Park to the final championship game.”

I haven’t played softball in years, but as I remember it, you are required to pitch underhand. This means it’s impossible to do any of the dazzling things that pitchers can do in hardball. So how can a softball pitcher be responsible for all of those winnings?

Have you ever faced a competitive softball pitcher? These aren’t slow, beer league tosses across the plate. It’s actually kind of unreal how fast they can pitch the ball underhand. A good softball pitcher can be virtually unhittable.
