Could the IOC care less about this athlete? That athlete is female. Is the IOC shouting themselves hoarse that this athlete is "eligible for the female category?" Male, 100%
To be fair I think Hiltz calls herself nonbinary, not a man. Nonsense of course unless it just means androgynous, but still. What you I'll never see is a natal female self identify into competitive male sports or prisons, demonstrating what all this really is. You'd expect to see as many if it wasn't about unfair advantage. And nobody would care apart from worrying for the athlete, which show sex realism isn't "anti-trans" in civil rights terms.
A female competing in female sports. Nothing to see there, no agenda to pursue, and no males throwing a tantrum. Of course, the IOC and TRAs don't care.
The point is, despite Hiltz's self label of transgender nonbinary, the IOC knows, Hiltz knows, she is female. Frankly Hiltz could call herself anything, endure the most horrid treatment, complain about anything—the IOC would turn a deaf ear. They simply don't care what women have to say about anything. By the same token, if a man says I'm a woman, the IOC not only listens but springs into action, defending that lie regardless of how high the evidence builds that proves otherwise. If a man complains about unfairness or is discomfited in any way, the IOC pays attention and acts. That's why it's a very accurate sex test.
I would say we are regressing but this misogyny never went away, it was always bubbling away under the surface, waiting for the right moment to erupt like a volcano.
The non binary Hiltz, how do you know she takes testosterone? I’m curious as to why non binary would take it. She is unable to compete with the men be a complete miss match. Non binary is a non issue. Trans man again, even if they are taking testosterone I wouldn’t have thought it make much difference due to the fact they are female(body mass etc)However testosterone is performance enhancing when used against women in a physical activity. However since the IOC is woke to the high hilta they won’t test these individuals due to them requiring fair access to sport etc etc I’m not sure I understand why a non binary would take testosterone can anyone enlighten me ?
Hiltz says she does not take testosterone, and hopefully is being tested to ensure that. You identify the incoherence of her statements because though she professes to be nonbinary, she has announced she can't wait for her running career to be over so she can take testosterone and grow facial hair (a dream she puts on par with an Olympic medal) which is about as binary as you can get. And you are right, even if she doped with testosterone, she would not be competitive at the elite level in the men's category. Doping cannot bring a woman up to a similarly elite male level, in the same way that a man cannot suppress his testosterone enough to remove his male advantage.
There is no nonbinary category at Olympic level sports, but there is in mass event road races. Cal Calamia, who like Hiltz is female who identifies as nonbinary transmasculine, sued USADA saying testosterone was medically necessary for her (I guess, so she could appear male), and won. Now Calamia can use testosterone but must race in either the nonbinary or male category. But yes, the T Calamia is using absolutely gives her performance enhancement over her own performance if she did not take it.

She calls herself both "nonbinary" and "transgender" (at once), so it's easy to see why people get confused about labels.

Yes! I think of it as the never-ending backlash.

And here's my explainer in case anyone wants more reading material: https://strongerwomen.substack.com/p/riddle-what-is-an-xy-high-testosterone
Maybe it’ll all be sorted out by the time you get back!
Excellent. Happy vacation.
