Another brilliant column Sarah. Thank you. Our battle continues to save women's sports as well as sex-based rights for girls and women. The Australian ruling yesterday against Sall Grover was devastating---but shows just how entrenched the perverse ideology is that men can become women and that women have no rights. Onward we battle!

Sarah Barker's avatar

The outcome for Sall Grover was crushing. I can't stop thinking, why? What right is this bestowing? How is society better for this ruling?

Mary O'Connor, MD's avatar

We all know society is not better for this ruling. It is perverted. Crushing is an excellent term. This just strengthens our resolve.

The Satan-inspired goal and credo of the Godless socialists for over 200 years has been to destroy our USA's Christian/Creator-derived/ Free Trade, was/ is to instill Chaos, so "That out of [there] Chaos can come Change! [Fact!] AND look how well it's working for them!!!

Note how smoothly we went from "Trans girls aren't even dominating girls' sports!" to "Trans girls are dominating and it's a good thing!"

Yes, and "girls need to learn to lose," too. FFS.

Clearly girls need to learn that they are worthy of winning, not how to lose.

Ha, not only are there way more than one or ten (Charlie Baker should def be in contempt of court for that whopper), but as Hernandez demonstrates, even if he was THE ONLY boy in CA in girls' sports, it only takes one to break everything, every single system involved in sports. And beyond! Freedom of speech, freedom of belief, reality

Anne Gibbons's avatar

That's what struck me most in your excellent article, Sarah! The power of one individual to wreak havoc because he's serving a very well-funded agenda promoted by very powerful people, in this case mega-misogynistic billionaires. AB Hernandez intruding into women's sports is like an oil spill oozing out uncontrollably, contaminating whatever and whomsoever it touches. It's an unspeakably offensive assault on women and girls everywhere, shamelessly mocking reality and getting away with it. Thank you so much for letting it rip about how wrong this is and how deeply it harms society.

Sarah Barker's avatar

While CA is still zombified by trans ideology, I am hopeful that, with big changes like the IOC's restoration of a female only category, that Hernandez standing on a podium receiving the boy-who-thinks-he's-a-girl award next to the girl getting the real girl award will somehow reach a tipping point. Although this is the second year CIF has been willing to degrade themselves and girls, so not sure about that...

Anne Gibbons's avatar

I’m hopeful, too, Sarah! My next cartoon will be about AB and ‘Roxy’ Tickle. There will have to be a tipping point because this BS flies in the face of reality, infuriates millions of us, causes egregious harm, as you described to thoroughly and stands on the shakiest ground imaginable. These institutions must be bought and paid for and/or lobotomized!

Thank you as always Sarah, for keeping up the information and the good fight. California is nuts, along with other states that continue to pursue this awful nonsense. Framing it in this column as you have, about the exaggerated "girliness" of some trans people reminds me of how insulted I have felt all of my life over drag shows and drag queens and then along have come drag queens reading to children in libraries. What is that message? In my lifetime men always have pushed women to dress, act, talk and apply makeup to please them and heaven forbid if you are an athlete with small breasts or choose to dress like a "tomboy" and not slather on the makeup. As an Olympian I lived with this constantly and once even had a writer refer to me in a book as not being as attractive or worthy as female gymnasts. I was a runner and would question men who spouted that very young girls in leotards were the best ideal of femininity. Drag queens with their exaggerated makeup and dress have always openly insulted girls and women who have been forced by society into a mold, doubling down on the pain of living by male edict. Now young girls in high school sports are subjected to scrutiny about their sex/gender that should not be happening if the idiots insisting on males in females' sports would just be forced to shut up and states like California end this travesty.

Sarah Barker's avatar

I too have always been grossed out by drag. It never seems funny, just creepy.

Whole thing is horrendous. In Eugene Oregon when a boy won the state championship a couple of years ago in the girls 200 the crowd booed. And didn't come back. California is insane.

Sarah Barker's avatar

Correct. I didn't include how one boy in girls' sports breaks sports fans. Parents and grandparents at a state track meet booing an athlete is not normal behavior. It's abnormal, unhealthy, unsportsman-like, but it was a reaction to a male athlete in girls' sports. In CA, there have been protests but no booing. Again though, protesting a high school track meet is divisive, angry, something that has happened because one of the competitors is male. Being a high school sports fan has turned into a political statement

Excellent article. I especially like the analogy of an infection, which, as we know, can start with just one microbe.

CIF is following California law, pssed in 2014 by Democrats. If CIF did not follow that law, the Democrat Attorney General would sue them, and he would win, because the law is very clear that any male claiming to be a female IS a female for all legal purposes.

Don’t like that law? Then vote Republican. That is the ONLY way it will ever be changed.

As of today, EVERY Democrat in Congress, both House and Senate, is a co-sponsor of a bill to make that law apply nationwide.

EVERY one, zero exceptions.

Sarah Barker's avatar

Yes, Democrats are determined to destroy all women's rights as a sex class, to remove the female sex class in law, but other than some toothless executive orders and threats, Republicans have not even shown will or ability to codify women in law. Women are simply pawns to both political parties. Neither party has any belief in the reality or ethics of women as a distinct and equal sex class. I have been shouting for some time now that women, here in the US and globally, have not been in a worse position, for at least 50 years, maybe more

MarkS's avatar

The Trump administration is vigorously enforcing women's rights encoded in Title IX. Multiple cases are proceding through the courts. And the Trump administration will ultimately win, because Trump (and not Hillary) was able to appoint three SCOTUS Justices.

Except for abortion (where those who oppose it make the claim that another human life is involved besides the mother's), I see no evidence at all that Republicans are not in favor of women's rights.

Ollie Parks's avatar

Is there a reason activists have not organized protests at events and at the California Interscholastic Federation?

Sarah Barker's avatar

There have been protests outside meets in CA, and will be at the state track meet (next week?) Anonymously, at least 79% of Americans support single-sex sports and they ASSUME (wrongly) that legislators will respond to the feelings of the overwhelming majority of their constituents.

Ollie Parks's avatar

That's good to know. Thanks!

California is ground zero misguided empathy. Witness San Francisco where school children volunteer to gather used needles at their playgrounds left by addicts. Said needles provided by the city I might add.

BR's avatar

That’s a blatant lie. I see you’re still grabbing your ankles in front of Daddy Trump. School children in San Francisco are strictly prohibited from collecting needles on playgrounds. School and city protocols require that only trained staff or specialized cleanup teams handle biohazardous materials like syringes.

Alfred's avatar

Trump? What's he got to do with San Francisco. And yet, that's exactly what my children did. As if the city of San Francisco follows or controls anything strictly whatsoever.

BR's avatar

Keep digging that hole.

Thank you for this truth telling article. Women's athletics is suffering terribly and there are no guardrails of protection. Keep shining the explosive light into the readers and participants of women's sports.

His-story tells us the main goal of team sports was derived from the Godless, compulsory Prussian model "education" I.e., to instill mindless, critical-thinking-free, team spirit type "thinking," I.e., all the better to control the Sheepel! And look how well it's working, broken homes, mass baby killings, sex, drugs, addictions, crime, etc! The more we veer away from our Creator's wisdom, the closer to Hell we become! So live with it or not!
