The climate for speaking truthfully is awash with abuse. Women, and some men as well, have paid a high cost for speaking truthfully. Some have lost their careers. Some have had their families destroyed. Some are afraid of alientating their own children further so chose to not publically speak. Some have been physically attacked, etc. etc. The transgender activists have absolutely succeeded in bullying women to do as they wish. The cost to speak publically is very high. Billboard Chris states he has been attacked 25 times, 3 of those resulted in a broken arm. Riley Gaines had to barricade herself in a classroom for 3 hours due to threats of physical violence after speaking at SFSU. This behavior has been deemed acceptable by the powers that be. Women are attacked for saying that no man can be a woman, while these men walk around in public with signs that say "Kill all Terfs". They are even allowed to display violent artwork in public buildings calling for violence against women. Shaming people for not speaking in public is not the answer. These violent activists need to be held accountable for their behavior if we are to expect people to feel safe to speak in public. Over the weekend, we again saw trans activists physically attacking a group of people for wearing XX-XY shirts. The people doing the physcial harm were not removed from the building. The people wearing XX-XY shirts were. Its lopsided because the unacceptable and illegal behavior from the transgender activists goes unchecked and unpunished.

I did not intend to shame proponents of single-sex sports and neither did Prof Brown. What you point out about the extremely high cost of speaking truthfully is spot on. I agree, this violence needs to be reported on and held to account. I spent the past week trying to get my local news outlets, the U of MN Journalism school, and St Thomas University to do that very thing, as they all are very obviously covered up trans activist violence for the very reason that it is having the desired effect. A fully captured media simply will not hold even the most egregious examples of bullying and violence to account. If you've got ideas about how to do that, I'm all ears

I am at a loss. I exist in a constant state of bewilderment that this is happening in modern society. I do not know how anyone with even minute intelligence can support this ideology. It is as absurd as it is cruel.

I just know the reason why more people do not speak up. It is out of fear and the knowledge that facts do not matter in this arguement. All we have are facts, and if those are irrelevant to those making policy, what do we have?

as a lefty insider i know what happened. 2 things.

1) regular ppl don’t understand how ballot initiatives work. they see double the amount of needed signatures and think the work is over. you MUST turn these ppl out to these obscure meetings, because…

2) NGOs send their staff. it’s quite likely that most of the ppl in the room knew most of the ppl in the room from NGO work ties. i’ve attended more than my share of these as paid NGO staff. NGOs have cozy relationships w/lawmakers and get real smug about their ability to flood tiny meetings like that with ppl who know nothing about the subject and just regurgitate NGO talking points.

just do better turnout. it’ll be fine.

We've known for a long time that a small cabal can dominate masses. Historically it was probably the norm. In turn the masses would get .... safety, real or perceived. Trans- activists are running a 'friendly' extortion racket. 'It'd be a shame if anything were to happen to your reputation.... there's a way to protect yourself...(hands over GLAAD/TPATH contract/demands).

The red-state protections are not at all durable, they can be wiped out by federal law. And as of today, EVERY Democrat in Congress has pledged to do exactly that. No exceptions, every single one. If and when the Democrats get the power to do it, they will do it. As they already have in every state where they have had the power to do it.

Thank you, Dr. Brown, for being there to trying to protect the right of girls and women to have athletic competitions. We're fighting for Title IX all over again.

Surely you're aware that large numbers of female physicians are transqueer cultists, probably a majority. Of course the same is true of male physicians.

I don’t remember her name, and I cannot find any news reports of the hearing. I can’t find a transcript, although there should be one somewhere
