AP News sets new standard for words that identify as journalism, pulls out oldie but goodie—Semenya is female with high testosterone

I’m deep into another story but made the mistake of reading this assault on sanity and crime against journalism by, of all places, AP News. It’s so flagrantly, eye-wateringly, offensively, factually incorrect on every single point, I could not let it go. I dashed this off as a comment, but was then required to create an account. Nope. So I’ve posted my comment below. Please steel yourself by whatever means comes to hand, read AP’s affliction, and if you have time to make an account, give them a piece of your mind. I’m certain this will not be missed by others in the sex realist community, burdened as we are with pointing out to legendary news organizations and national sports organizations that men do not belong in women’s sports because they are men. Below is my very foreshortened comment:
This article is shamefully factually incorrect from top to bottom. Men are excluded from women’s sports because they are male, not due to any belief about themselves they may have, nor because of Trump. Trump did not invent two sexes last year, for the love of god. Men who believe they are women are male, thus not eligible for the female category. Athletes with transgender identities DID participate in the 2024 Olympics—US track star Nikki Hiltz identifies as masculine nonbinary and boxer Hergie Bacyadan identifies as a man. There was no controversy because both are female and both competed in the female category. Algerian boxer Imane Khelif is male. He won a gold medal in women’s boxing because the IOC accepted a piece of paper that said he was female. He has since admitted being male with the same DSD that Caster Semenya has. He and Semenya are 100% male but suffer from a genetic anomaly such that their external genitalia did not develop, so at birth they were wrongly assigned female. They are completely male without a penis. This DSD only affects males. For AP to report that Semenya is female with naturally high testosterone is completely false in every way. Semenya is and always has been 100% male who did not develop a penis. His testosterone is not high, it is normal for a male. This is beyond sloppy “journalism,” it is propaganda. One has to wonder why AP would print this easily refuted and frankly embarrassing assault on sanity.
Here’s how the NYT mangled the story:

“The International Olympic Committee banned transgender athletes from competing in the women’s category at the Olympics, after telling its members to conduct mandatory genetic testing for women’s competitions.”
The article:
1. Falsely implies that all transgender athletes, including the female ones, will be “banned” from women’s sports
2. Weirdly implies that transgender status can be determined with genetic testing
3. Falsely implies that transgender athletes are being “banned” by virtue of their transgender status, when in fact just the male ones are being excluded on the basis of their sex.
4. In fact, males with DSDs, who are not trans identifying, comprise the bulk of problematic cases at the Olympic level. Why is the NYT billing this as trans issue at all?
This inaccurate, politicized language from the press:
1. Strengthens the highly debatable belief shared by bleeding heart Democrats that trans people’s “rights” are under an orchestrated assault
2. Reinforces the gender cult’s main dogma that gender identity SHOULD take priority over sex, always and everywhere
No one's sex is 'assigned.' It is simply recorded. Please stop using their language.
