While I already knew these stories prior to reading your column, it was still very painful to read about them again. I am so sick of the privacy violation of girls and the sexual abuse of girls that is occurring. And you are correct---these are actually being sanctioned by the state. It is beyond disgusting. Trans is state sponsored terrorism. It's forcing an imaginary equality that doesn't exist, and chaos and real harm is following. No one wants to see or admit that we have a serious boys consuming porn online problem either. Those who do throw up their hands and say "But we can't do anything about that! Voters must use their voices and then they must use their ballots. WA has certified the signatures for IL26-638, a citizen-initiated ballot measure which prohibits male students from participating in sports designated for female students and which would require verification of their biological sex by a health care provider, which DIAG (Democrats for an Informed Approach to Gender, di-ag.org) wholeheartedly supports. (Opponents are going with the absurd and insulting "genital inspections"/this distracts from "real problems" claims.) Now it's up to the legislature to either adopt the initiative, in which case it becomes law; reject or not act on the initiative, in which case it's placed on the ballot for the public to decide at the next state general election; or approve an alternative, in which case both the original and the alternative are placed on the ballot. We'll be watching.
