They don't want to compete in an Open category because they don't want to compete where they're not welcome and not wanted? But they still want to compete with women who are literally walking out of competitions and sacrificing their own ambitions rather than participate in this farce? Um, okay.

Humiliating Women who dare to object to their unwanted incursions is the crux of the entire fetish, so of course they also refuse to compete in bespoke third categories that were literally created just for them.

Here's what happened when one such category was offered—from one of the TQ+’s own propaganda outlets: https://www.them.us/story/world-aquatics-trans-women-category

So true re: humiliation being part and parcel of the trans experience. I actually found myself thinking recently, if I were a man who identified as a woman, I would never, ever prioritize my feelings over that of women or young girls. I'd use the men's bathroom or locker room, secure in my female identity, not shaken by a brief trip to the men's loo. But then again, if I thought that way, I'd be thoughtful and stable, and therefore not trans, so my whole imaginary scenario went "poof."

Love it. Thanks, Sarah.

Meanwhile, Nike is still funding the Tucker Center with that $1 million or so investment in teaching female coaches how to be "gender inclusive" of males in girls' sports, right? Curious minds would love an update on that too if you get a chance. Like the Women's Sports Foundation, that used to be a leading, respected feminist org.

Thanks Mariah! My guess is Nike's $$ for the Tucker Center's indoctrination program is largely spent. That program is fully operational. I know it's still being offered to coaches, in MN, still optional. I might be able to do a FOIA request to see if any remaining funds have been shut off

Yes. Makes sense. I wish we could make some inroads with the Tucker Center. I know the director, but have not reached out to her. Maybe that would be worthwhile. I’ve hit a lot of brick walls with such conversations, but I am persistent!

By all means, give it a go. My experience with both thedirector of the Tucker Center and the director of the Coaching HER program is that very quickly they resort to mantras—TW is a W—and refer you to Athlete Ally for "science."

The "friendly folks" referenced in this quote, "Harper let the spittle fly all over the friendly folks at Outsports," is, you'll be shocked to learn, trans-identified male Karleigh Chardonnay Webb, who never met a female-only space or sport that KCW wouldn't enthusiastically breach.

Once again a great article and a great reminder that this issue is far from solved. Unfortunately Kate Ackerman still sits on the Medical Committee (I believe she still chairs it) for US Rowing. Her involvement in this research is a direct conflict of interest as an advisor to the Board. And by the way US Rowing STILL has not amended their 2023 Gender Policy that allows men in the female category. If we believe Harper at his word "believe the data", we have more than enough to tell men to get out of the female category, regardless of how they feel.

Harper admitted just after the IOC used his flawed data to allow men into women's sports that "more research was needed." The only data they've ever had is that allowing men in women's sports is unfair, unsafe, steals opportunities, and violates women's privacy, dignity. Harper is still looking for data that will magically refute that

Yup.

What makes the USRowing policy even more outrageous is that men who say they're women are welcomed into the (supposedly) all-female boats—but in the 50/50 MIXED boats, the very same policy stipulates that only born Women can fill the female slots.

Fixed it:

“Trans women aren’t women. They don’t compete like women, don’t look like women and that would bring trans women into an arena where they are not welcome, not wanted and place women in danger"

"hate" means nothing now. It is thrown around so casually and used to defend such weak arguments that it has lost all meaning.

Harper claimed to be a scientist first, an athlete second, and a trans woman third, but neither scientists nor athletes resort to calling others who don't agree with them haters. That's the resort of trans activists who have no valid argument

Wait.. so Harper is worried that trans "women" would be in danger playing against men, but apparently doesn't care about women getting their heads bashed in, etc., when forced to compete against trans "women"? Alrighty then.

They actually do look like males, because they are males. But when one uses bumps on the chest, long hair and some paint on the face as the sole criteria for "woman," anyone can be a "woman." I no longer refer to these loons as trans (which is a non-existent group of people) and prefer to use Troon. J. Harper fully displays his male entitlement.

They are also disinterested in a third category. They don't want a fair competition. They specifically want to compete against women, probably for misogynistic motivations.

It surprises me that the name Dr. John Money does not come up in these discussions. Roughly, Money was disgraced for his work in sex change surgery on infants. Then, as now, the public was horrified.

The absurdity and barbarism of all this overwhelms me. I’m getting away from the whole “trans” issue. I’m disgusted.

As Trump is discovering in the other cult, children are the third rail. William Thomas was bad enough. Sterilizing kids for profit went way too far.
