It is appalling that a small contingent of trans allies within Minnesota Fencing’s leadership presumed to speak for the entire membership, claiming that USA Fencing’s recognition of sex-based rights “caused pain and confusion in the entire fencing community.”

Unfortunately, this kind of overreach is all too familiar. Trans-identified men and their progressive “cis” allies have repeatedly shown a disregard for truth and democratic norms in their ongoing capture of institutions.

Not surprising that this is happening in Minnesota, home of the idiot Tim Walz!

Great post, Sarah.

Minnesota Fencing basically just tossed Title IX in the garbage can.

I'm not sure they get federal funding from Title IX but I think the MN Human Rights Act thing is an excuse. I think those exemptions show they absolutely can have female-only sports in MN

This move just shows how deep and ingrained the Trans movement is in the Democratic Party with Minnesota illuminating the depths. Now that Trump is in trouble with the MAGA base Democrats are gleefully trying to act like the old Trans issue, was never a problem.

The question that rocked Kamala’s campaign, still remains, “ The Democrats will take care of They/them, who will take care of You?”

The MN Human Rights play is just that. A play. It’s a peevish move. But something so blatant will crash.

I find it ugly, petty, small minded, and appalling.

Thank god I’m not filled with that kind of bile on a day to day basis.
