At the risk of sounding like an unsophisticated ignoramus, I submit that the tale of the Emperor's New Clothes provides a simple solution to this quandary. All the discussion about the effects of chemically blocked puberty and whether prepubertal boys have competitive advantages over girls is beside the point. It's on a par with the praise the Emperor's courtiers were showering on his new wardrobe.

It took a little boy who was not yet wise in the ways of politics or inhibited by fear of negative public opinion to point out the obvious: the Emperor was wearing nothing at all! End of story.

Similarly, boys are not girls. Hence, they can't participate in girls'-only sports. End of story.

Sex realists need to have the courage of their convictions. After all, it's the boys, their parents, the coaches, the schools, the school boards and the rest of the trans-industrial complex who are trafficking in bold, outright lies. The onus is on them to prove scientifically and without resort to gender tricksters' rotten philosophy or other equivocation that trans girls are real, biological girls. They'll never be able to do it.

Sex realist activists owe pseudo girls and their lying allies no concessions whatsoever. There isn't a trace of ambiguity so long as Judith Butler and her pernicious gender evangelists are banished from the discussion.

Also, when are gender critical activists and the girls and women who are losing to pseudo women in female-only athletic events going to begin engaging in nonviolent direct action to protest the falsehoods and injustice of the entire gender and trans paradigm?

Exactly what you said. They can have their male-puberty-blocked category and compete against each other. I give no quarter in this lunacy.

If you're suggesting women boycott events in which trans-identified men/boys participate, that's especially difficult for a number of reasons. Girls usually don't know such a person is at the event before, and often not after either. Teams who have forfeited rather than play a team with a trans-identified male simply lose, and the team with the male wins by forfeit. Other times, teams or individuals who refuse to compete against a male are punished by the governing organization. In the case of Lia Thomas, both his teammates and women on opposing teams were warned not to speak to media or post on social media or they would face loss of a spot in the competition, loss of scholarship, severe punishment. Activists and nonathletes do show up and protest at high school compeitions. The deck even to peaceably speak out is stacked against them

Not to mention the possible negative effects of using such drugs. Should we be interfering in the development of healthy boys by giving these drugs? I wouldn’t dream of letting my son take them.

it's amazing how all these policies define girls and women as "standard human with deficits": a man minus testosterone, a boy minus puberty = a woman, a girl. So "standard human" = men and boys; standard human minus something or other = women and girls. It's so insulting, as if there is no positive state of being that is the state of being a woman or a girl; it's just a state of lacking and if you can prove you have the right lack, you're in.

Well said!

Perhaps not really amazing in terms of human history . Did not Freud see women as lesser in value because of not having a penis ? Did not generations of intellectual men block equal education for women because it would be wasted on them ? Even when I was at University a (male) student at a supposedly feminist introductory meeting said women should not be competing with men (intellectually or any other way) but learning to get on with them ! This was only ~ 40 yrs ago so not exactly the Stone Age .

Don't forget that we learned with the 2 male boxers, perfect penis=male, ambiguous genitalia=female, at least according to the IOC.

Actually the IOC didn't even go that far toward reality. An F on a passport = female

I may have been unconsciously trying to forget female biology and experience has been erased and replaced by a bureaucratic check mark.

If for no other reason, we should ban males who block their puberty from women’s sports because we don’t want to encourage early use of these harmful drugs.

Children can no more "consent" to have their healthy breasts and genitalia removed or take puberty blockers than they can

"consent" to have sex with an adult.

Similarly, parents and doctors can no more approve such permanent mutilation simply because a minor child desires it than they can approve pedophilia.

Ultimately society will see the truth and ban the practice as we have banned female genital mutilation. Do people support that practice if the parents consent? I truly hope not

It is monstrous to believe otherwise and those who do will ultimately be held to account for their actions.

Ask any (sane) parent of mixed sex twins and they’ll tell you the difference is apparent way earlier than puberty

Testosterone first floods a boy when they are in utero so they can fk right off with that piss poor argument

Puberty occurs three times - roughly six weeks after conception when the male fetus is bathed in testosterone which its Y chromosome directs.

If the 1st puberty didn’t occur true fetus would be born completely without a penis and internal testicles.

The second puberty occurs 2 months until 6 months after birth when both the male and female infant produces amounts of testosterone and estradiol respectively similar to adolescent puberty. This 2nd puberty for males contributes to increased genitalia growth, metabolism, bone and other maturation, as well as nerve development. It helps testicles descend into the scrotum, for example.

By the time adolescent puberty occurs the male body is irrevocably shaped differently from a female body.

Whether or not anyone deems the child having gone through adolescent puberty is irrelevant - if the fetus had a Y chromosome which was even partially active the child has gone through two puberties before adolescence.

These facts are well known by doctors, yet curiously they are never ever mentioned by doctors in discussion of males in female sports.

It’s as through the medical profession wanted men to compete with women.

At age 5 my son, shorter and stockier than his 7 year old sister, was the stronger of the two. Growing up he never had to shop to find the right sports bra, or compete on a period. Sports shoes fitted him comfortably, as all shoes are designed around the rectangular male shape of foot, including placement of arch, height of heel etc. Women’s feet are very different including being of a more “flipper” shape for balance when crouching.

Listening to Coach Linda Blade, I’ve since learned how male physiology differs everywhere to that of females, eg tendons are not only thicker but attached straighter, being primed to react faster than a female’s for optimum performance.

His sister however was built to accommodate creating, growing and nurturing a baby, an everyday miracle in human beings, something to this day she has done several times yet her brother not even once.

Puberty blocking is an attack on young boys by adults. I would love to ask these freaks how they knew these were boys, since their argument seems to be that puberty is what makes one a male. Over the past few years in debates about bathrooms and locker rooms, the line of attack from the freaks was always "Why do you care so much about what's in the pants?" But according to their own twisted argument, before puberty the difference between male and female comes down to just the shape of the external genitalia. They are the ones obsessed with genitalia and they want to go around mutilating and chemically destroying young bodies.
