You stated the key. At this stage, everyone knows these people are male. Everyone all officials; the school, the person.

Only legal claims against schools and organizations will shake them out of their stupor.

MarkS's avatar

Legal claims are governed by state law, which in California (and most other blue states) fully backs boys in girls sports.

Sufeitzy's avatar

Unless challenged in Title IX. Legal challenges have to go to SCOtUS which won’t waver.

MarkS's avatar

Title IX only governs federal funding. The Democrats running California will refuse federal funding before they cave on allowing boys in girls sports.

And if the Democrats ever again have control of the House, Senate, and POTUS, they will pass the Equality Act, which would overrule Title IX by redefining "sex" as "gender identity". Biden's Ed Dept tried to do that by fiat, and was turned away by the courts, but Congress clearly has the authority to define what "sex" means in law. SCOTUS would have no legal basis for overturning that definition.

I understand CIF is only following CA law but they have some influence as the largest sports org in CA over legislature. I am as befuddled and frustrated as the next person because voters, including a solid majority of Democratic voters, don't want boys in girls sports—what could have such a vise-like grip on legislators that they vote in lock step for something that is a gigantic lie, that everyone knows is a gigantic lie, and,as AB Hernandez has pointed out, is a massive fail for the very people it's supposed to benefit. No one, NO ONE is accepting him as a girl, least of all CIF, and the harder they try to make that happen, the more obvious and hideously cartoonish it becomes. This is a girl dammit. The truth has outed—celebrating a "trans girl" is a sideshow. It's vulgar carnival. But with cataclysmic results for girls' sports. Could this really be the end game legislators want?

MarkS's avatar

The great majority of Democrat elites (including the great majority of Democrats holding elected office) truly, sincerely, deeply believe in the tenets of the transqueer cult: that a person can be "born in the wrong body", that these people "know who they are" from infancy, that they need and deserve our sympathy, kindness, support, and all possible aid in "becoming the person they truly are", including taxpayer-paid medical alterations by drugs and surgeries, beginning at the earliest possible age. Furthermore anyone who does not believe all of this is a hateful "transphobe", or at best an ignorant dupe of right-wing propaganda.

My guess is that about 80% of Democrats holding (or who have held, or who are running for) elected office are in this category. Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton (for example) are definitely in this category.

The other 20% have varying degrees of apostasy, but any slight moves away from the cult are met with immediate, vicious, powerful threats to any future within the Party, and so they immediately crawl back to meekly supporting whatever the cult wants.

Sarah Barker's avatar

The [picture you paint is both frightening and depressing.

Michael McQuate's avatar

I agree but I think Biden was just manipulated by activist's pressure. How can we prevent this from happening again if the Dems ever get another Pres elected? They will be younger than Biden and probably even more woke. Newsom has flipped flopped on this issue so much he should be battered and fried!

Sufeitzy's avatar

It’s not federal lawsuits it’s women in a class Action suit against CA, which will win and noncompliance ends in receivership of the entire educational system.

For instance in 2006 the entire prison system in CA was put into federal receivership.

I suspect that should enough women come forward, it would be fast-tracked.

Men can’t really drive it I think except as fathers.

Title IX is funding, but there are many angles which can be pursued, also compliance agreements and Special Masters. There are numerous cases in title IX where this has happened.

No CA school (university level) can afford to lose federal funding, and middle schools can’t afford endless IX lawsuits from parents.

MarkS's avatar

"it’s women in a class Action suit against CA, which will win"

Not if it's decided on state law.

WoLF has been fighting and losing in court in California on the men in women's prison issue for many years now.

And again, if Trump messes up bad enough, the Democrats will take control of Congress and POTUS, nuke the filibuster, and pass the Equality Act on Day One of the Newsom administration in 2029. Then it's game over, and the transqueers will have won.

Sufeitzy's avatar

I agree, but other states and institutions have lost hard. We shall see.

Cowardice comes in many shapes and sizes. The definition of cowardice (and stupidity) is CIF. When you try to strattle a fence you will likely lose a nut. CIF is nutless. Your heart has to hurt for all the California girls who are so disgusted with organized high school athletics that they have either quit or will not go on to compete in college. Because they already know the NCAA is CIF on steroids, so what's the point.

MarkS's avatar

CIF is following California law, passed by Democrats. They do not have any choice about that. If CIF did not follow the law, the California Attorney General (a Democrat) would sue them, and he would win. Because the law is very clear that any male claiming to be female IS female for all legal purposes.

Don't like that law? Then get those Democrats out of office, and replace them with Republicans. There is no other meaningful option for change.

Valerie McClain's avatar

California lawmakers pick and choose which laws they feel like following. They chose their own interpretation of the law. Not the EO, not Title IX, not the Ted Steven's Act. For ONCE I would love to hear a lawmaker say they protect women because its the right thing to do and not because of their political stance.

Sarah Barker's avatar

Amen to that!

Spartacus's avatar

California CIF is violating Title IX. Bonta can sue them and he might win in the corrupt CA courts. (Yes, they are corrupt. I have personal experience.)

MarkS's avatar

CIF is violating Title IX as interpreted by the Trump administration. The Biden administration had the opposite interpretation, as will the administration of any future Democrat POTUS.

Spartacus's avatar

Biden administration was batsh*t crazy in its "interpretation". This is the law signed in 1972.

https://www.justice.gov/crt/title-ix-education-amendments-1972

MarkS's avatar

I know what the law says. The Biden intepretation began with Obama in 2016 (remember the North Carollina "bathroom bill" and the Ed Dept's "Dear colleague" letter to schools?) and then continued through Trump 1.0 and then Biden.

The law also says that discrimination on the basis of race is illegal. That did not stop 50 years of "affirmative action".

Spartacus's avatar

"Cowardice comes in many shapes and sizes. The definition of cowardice (and stupidity) is CIF. When you try to strattle a fence you will likely lose a nut. CIF is nutless."

Oh, god but this made me laugh! Thank you.

Former Dem's avatar

They are literally teaching these girls to step aside and let the boys win. Standing up there on the podium with him has to be absolutely humiliating.

Sarah Barker's avatar

What's more disturbing is the possibility that the girls sharing that podium are NOT humiliated, that they are so brainwashed as to think this is normal

Former Dem's avatar

Yeah, there's a lot of that too I'm sure.

retrocycler's avatar

We need to see a winning female athlete, who got first place, then refuse to stand on / share that podium. It might cost her a lot... but the effect would be powerful.

As much as males are already being centered in these lapses in courage, judgement, responsibility, and basic common decency, can we spend another minute talking about AB Hernandez? Not only has the CIF set him up for continued public rebuke, how would a kid in this position ever walk this back? They have coronated him king (queen?) of "transgirls." He's been feted in the NYT. What chance does he have of being able to ease into the realization that this was just a terrible mistake. A reaction to the chaos of puberty, a difficult childhood, and a world that now says a boy who likes pretty things is a girl who better get on hormones before he's doomed to an adult body directed by testosterone. Everyone who "affirmed" this boy has harmed him now and in the years to come. And they've sent this same celebratory, enabling message of "affirmation" to every other kid who is distressed about their sex. They cast a wide net of harm with their destructive "inclusion."

Sarah Barker's avatar

CIF has given the trans lobby what they want. Yes, they set Hernandez up as a sideshow, which he appears to enjoy. It's possible he's so used to performing he doesn't realize the nature of his show. A mentally healthy boy would in no way have gone this far--done all the interviews, accepted all the awards. That's why these displays are so cringe—we're watching the destruction of healthy girls by one unhealthy boy. It's grotesque

Andrea Beatrice Reed's avatar

He's an athlete (of sorts). What happens when he starts developing illnesses due to what's been done to him, illnesses that get in the way of athleticism? As his body starts to fall apart, and he can't win any awards in any category, perhaps he WILL be able to see that this was a terrible mistake. Perhaps he will once more go for the money, and sue the doctors who did this to him?

Stosh Wychulus's avatar

They have absolutely no idea how to get themselves out of the mess they have created. And Ca will fight this tooth and nail for as long as they possibly can. I honestly don't see a light at the end of the tunnel , let alone the tunnel itself. With the Ca governor's race coming up , you can be assured the trans idiocy will become a major factor. Who ever the Dem candidate is they had best start practicing their bobbing and weaving act now.

Leslie's avatar

Girls are now being "included" in their own sports category! Doublethink has triumphed.

George Orwell must be spinning in his grave.

Katharine's avatar

Kowtowing to the delusions of one young male takes priority over fair competition for every female athlete. The trans "emperor" must be propitiated - it's a sacred caste that otherwise reasonable and intelligent* people feel compelled to worship.

It's not even in the interests of AB Hernandez (not that he cares): his very public cheating has made him infamous. Demonstrating athletic prowess in high school can be enjoyable and validating part of life, but there is no achievement here that can be respected.

There’s a comment on here that commends you Sarah for sticking with sports for the whole article “because folks like you usually don’t”! In the same vein I’d like to congratulate you for sticking with the issue of male ‘inclusion’ in female sports for the many years I’ve been reading this excellent Substack. When I first subscribed to it, which was years after being peaked by Laurel Hubbard’s Olympic qualification, I thought this issue was so stupid that - with a bit of exposure - it’d be over by Christmas. Yet here we still are, dealing with the fallout of these dumb as shit sporting federations’ policies, just trying to convince people that actually, no, men aren’t women and that when sporting bodies enact policies that claim they are, everyone loses.

Sarah Barker's avatar

I feel your pain. From the very first absurdity in 2009—people claiming Caster Semenya was getting hate for being "too fast" and that "she" was the victim of racism and sexism—I slapped my forehead thinking what the holy heck?! Ross Tucker was as available to me as to any journalist but none of them availed themselves of the facts. ALL journalists went immediately to the victim narrative which is how I knew 1) that Semenya was male, and 2) that this was absolutely predictive of what was going to happen with men who claimed to be women. And it did. From where I sit, if journalists had done their job from the very beginning, used accurate language, we would not be here now.

Zoe's avatar

Yes, sporting federations and the media double teamed women on this one. I mentioned Semenya (and the whole 800m Rio Olympic debacle) a few years ago on my socials and people said, “I’ve never heard of this, are you sure? She’s a woman with high testosterone.” And I’m like 🤦‍♀️ man.

Michael McQuate's avatar

Yes, the CIF tried to appease everyone and Be Kind and it just ended up looking like a woke clown show. Look at the podium from the high jump competition. Hernandez is about 6" SHORTER than all the other female medal winners. Why is that? How can a "girl" who is 6" shorter than all the others out jump them in an event where height is a critical advantage? https://www.nytimes.com/2025/06/01/us/trans-athlete-california-track-meet.html

Ollie Parks's avatar

When are sex realist defenders of women's sports going to start a campaign of peaceful civil disobedience at athletic events where boys who claim to be girls are competing against girls?

Kenzie🦋Reloaded's avatar

So you stuck with sports for the whole article. And that's good, because folks like you usually don't. And we all know you are deeply concerned about sports. But of course you had to put the drag queen-ish person with the pink hair at the end of the article. Which is not representative of most trans women. Which makes me question what you're really concerned with. And that's how you folks operate. Why don't you go after the gay men that practice much of this drag in the first place. L&G seems untouchable. But it's open season on trans people (and yes I'm fine with pink hair by the way -- or no hair).

Sarah Barker's avatar

What kind of folx am I?

Kenzie🦋Reloaded's avatar

The kind that needs a crutch to make your points. That's all. The photo is a crutch.

Sarah Barker's avatar

I still don't know what kind of folx I am. Explain. I would have used the photo of Hernandez girl posing on the podium but I don't have photo rights. Tell me how the photo I used is different, more insulting?, than the photo of the drag queen

Sarah Barker's avatar

Oops, I left, at breakfast, and came back to this and in between, lost my train of thought. I menat to write, how is the photo of the drag queen different, a crutch, than using a photo of Hernandez on the podium?

Kenzie🦋Reloaded's avatar

I went through the trouble of reading your article again. Keep in mind I did not contest anything you said. But in review can see you clearly have a problem with any trans teen. And trans people themselves. Wearing make up won't get anyone a better score. But you take the shots anyway. So your article goes beyond sports. The photo you used, once again does not look like a trans teen competing in high school. So yes, it is a crutch already. That is the kind of person you are.

Personally, I do not take much interest in the “sports issue” because it is just an excuse by many to trash all trans people. I mean hey, they flew an air plane over the high school with a message in tow about no boys in sports. This is the sentiment. Which seems more like an obsession to me. OK then. No surprise, because here in FL it is worse. Way worse. Same goes for bathrooms. More exclusion. Where are the solutions? Or discussion. But hey, "we" do not need any. Usually it is just tough luck tr@nny. Well, I do not used the men's room. Got denied access to the dirty men's room one time actually, when the line was long for the ladies room. I did take an interest in Becky Jackson and SCOTUS, since she was the only trans kid athlete in West Virginia I believe. Here is a link for your readers. But you will have to hold your nose, since it is from the ACLU website:

https://www.aclu.org/news/lgbtq-rights/live-coverage-west-virginia-v-b-p-j-scotus-arguments

I really do not know, and do not have an answer regarding trans exclusion in sports at the high school level. As for the case regarding Becky Jackson, she is now entering high school. SHE transitioned in the from the 3rd grade. Still a boy? I am more interested in kids being able to play than medals (but understand that is not everyone). How do we determine who should compete in what groups? (oh, wait, that is right... we don't -- ever). But we are taking the hits week in and week out, so you should be delighted.

Next time include the numbers of AB's high jump or long jump against the girls who lost. Talk about hormones levels maybe. My Testosterone got so low a while back, that my doctor had to cut back on one of my meds. I went from being underweight to now bordering on fat. Body changed. But yes, that is what I signed up for. My labs are female. So we can go into all that, but it would not matter to you or your followers. I can see you want to do battle.

Here is an article from Sports Illustrated, which I think is fair to offer. About the high jump scores for Hernandez. All these skinny lean girls are a long way off from Javier Sotomayor's 8' .25". The women's record is 6' 10.5" Big difference.

https://www.si.com/high-school/national/transgender-track-athlete-wins-two-california-state-titles-in-girls-triple-high-jump-01jwksvfa8jh

I give you a photo of AB Hernandez (of that horrible trans freak!). Becky is easier on the eyes — she offers the better CIS conformity to avoid the trans “ick”. Lovely girl. But is that what is important?

We are done. I foolishly ventured out of my usual trans ghetto. Sorry for the imposition. And go MAGA! Make America Divided Again even more so.

Hey AB and Becky, I am a fu*ckin’ freak too. Or at least that what they had me believe way way back.

Sarah Barker's avatar

I'm not sure how you missed my point, the point of this substack—people may believe anything they want about themselves but laws and policy should be based on fact, reality. Humans do not change sex. No one is born in the wrong body. Sex is real and it matters. I don't have a problem with trans people, I have a problem with men in women's sports.

Kenzie🦋Reloaded's avatar

OK. Last message for real. Do your thing.

I am too busy advocating for trans people. And the assault on minority populations day after day. Got my hands full. I am well aware of the laws. In fact threatened by them now. I am a bug on their kitchen floor.

And Yes, you do have a problem, because your denial of me is a reversion to and approval of the system you live under (Sex = Gender. And there is no lived identity outside of this definition of binary sex. Codified into law. No trans. No NB. Just leave it to fu*ckin’ Beaver fantasy that I grew up with. The old America is the new one. Wipe out decades of change for a select few.).

This is fine. I understand. You are fully invested. And with the system behind you. Worry about a transgender skier or dart thrower in Olympic competitions. I have more practical matters to focus on. You are certainly within your rights to make your case. But you do it by leaving the discussion on sports and instead chose to discredit the entire trans condition and experience. That was my only point.

The fact is I knew at age 4-5 I was different. I wrote this many times already in my previously deleted Substack - that I renamed myself at this age. My legal middle name is now that name from childhood. Kenzie is a nickname for that name. I was told how I was. And can only remember beyond age 5 at best. I knew the years that followed. Trans kids exist. For real. But we get steered away from that programming. Take it or leave. I do not care. But the pain is still in my bones and my mind. The cost is incalculable. And now the pain and insult keeps coming.

And the fact they have to target Amber Glenn, who made history as the first openly queer woman to represent the U.S. in Olympic singles figure skating, tells me it is more than trans people in sports. During the 2026 Winter Olympics she won gold in the 2026 team event. She gently advocates for LGBTQ+ and gets silenced by Red Pill incels anyway. Even her monthly period became a news item in a degrading way (and probably did affect her performance. I can’t say. I do not experience this. And can admit I was not born with female reproductive capabilities. Nothing to hide. I call things the way they are. Being trans is a limited but valid experience. I would have loved to make a baby for a man and be a “trad wife”. I am perfect for it. Because I am my mom to a large degree. I am highly qualified otherwise. But no. That was not possible. And I daydreamed about it if you can believe that. I did not ask to be trans.).

I told you I do not have any answers regarding trans people and sports. I have mixed feelings (and the trans Substack so-called community can shun me. I do not care.). But in this environment they do not want any answers to make systems work for the entire citizenry. Sports or otherwise. Science is banned. Discussion on sports metrics are banned. Websites shut down. Go write about the officials in the sports organizations if you like. But the president should not being bullying everyone out there no matter what the organization is. But Trump did just that with California. Specifically about AB Hernandez. And other states. Here in Florida we have Gov. Ron DeSantis and it is close to a dictatorship now (with a few state Reps able to make trouble luckily; Even FL Republican House Speaker Daniel Perez.).

Sports is not my wheelhouse (I would rather talk about my bread machine recipes or how to get my sewing machine to do what I need it to do). My original comment was about drag queens. The word transgender does not exist on the HHS site to link articles (unless they are old publications pre-Trump and did not get wiped yet). Or the http://whitehouse.gov site. An internet propaganda mouthpiece for conservatives only and not the people across America (this happened twice today regarding my links and limited time for readings and research on the Florida assault that is happening here.

Example: CDC Website link regarding LGBTQ Students-

Blank pages in my search. Including the recent legislative and “emergency measures” in Florida. Full report at 5 and 11 o’clock P.M. on your local news station. ). There is no trans sports here. None. It is illegal to be transgender essentially (with threats to be fined or jailed if we misrepresent theimmutable truth of binary sex).

My patience has worn thin. I do not care to bargain with the Merovingians out there in one form or another. That is just another trap I tend to fall into when I am up late and should be in bed (Like I am doing now). Although I will say we should engage his HAF lovely wife Persephone in one form or another to find TheKeymaker. And my kind is going to reset the conservative Trump world, or die trying. 🔑 Because their fantasy America is built on sand and the same house of cards they think the transgender condition is built on. The difference is that we will still be here. Picking up the pieces of broken democracy and freedom from a world controlled by Machiavellian men who I did not vote for. And who do NOT give a damn about any women who cannot be controlled and limited to a diminished supportive role in the systems. It is perfectly fine to be a homemaker, librarian, or nurse. But women should dare to be ANYTHING they aspire to. Women should be at EVERY policy making venue as participants. So do not think I do not care about women or girls. I do. I just believe a trans person should also have a legit shot a participating in society and systems (yes, even with a few exceptions or compromises allowed). Again. I do not have all the answers. But we live with our backs against the wall day in and day out now.

More than you want here. So I get it. A rant like this only fuels me. Strengthens my resolve. And the lefty radical ideology I never ever started with or wanted is now a consequence of all that is done. I am in. Fully involved as I can be. With way more later when I come out of my own abyss. So I will embrace it. Trans + Queer at least. The so called ideology after all. Radicalized. Because I am not part of the system anymore. I lost my membership card — and that was my “choice”. One door closes and another opens (And then I take the stairs a few flights down). Born in the USA. Never arrested. With college degrees (which that reminds me, they will be changed for the diploma name now. Mostly for Spite. Another MS To Do task to add now.) But still a second class citizen. Because of who I am and how I live.

So we fight. And hope that lawyer battles are not the only hope we have. That people see the systemic power grabs and the extremely dangerous environment we are in. And that inclusion of all people is not just the right thing to do but in principle, but that society runs best when everyone is at their best. Trump and the Republicans do not share this view.

We live in two worlds now. That is clear. And the fake, compromised world has become the same on or off the Matrix internet/real life/. It is all the same to me. Engaging society means Truth is everywhere but nowhere. There is no spoon. The Architect can worry. The men who run things and control for everyone. But the trans woman is not even on their chessboard. We have our heroes. But a single Neo we do not have. That is fantasy as well.

The Oracle: “We’re all here to do what we’re all here to do. I’m interested in one thing, Neo, the future. And believe me, I know – the only way to get there is together.”

The Oracle: “What do all men with power want? More power.”

She is still a machine. And cannot be trusted. But the Oracle did tell Neo to choose his own path, rather than following a predetermined fate. He is indeed the transgender allegory.

Dear Trans Kids and Teens: Don’t you ever listen to them. Do not become a Kenzie. Don’t. The price of conformity is more expensive.

In the US Congress, EVERY Democrat, both House and Senate, is a CO-SPONSOR of a bill that would make gender self-ID unquestionable under FEDERAL law, which would apply nationwide.
